Guernica - Pablo Picasso

Following the 80th anniversary of the creation of the work, the Picasso-Paris National Museum, with Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, dedicate an exhibition to the history of Guernica, an exceptional painting by Pablo Picasso, one of the most famous in the world.
The masterpiece has been permanently preserved in Madrid since 1992. Painted in 1937, this work in monumental format is both a synthesis of the plastic research conducted by Picasso for more than forty years, and a popular icon.
Exhibited, reproduced all over the world, it was at the same time an anti-Franco, anti-fascist and pacifist symbol.
It is also a work abundantly quoted, commented, resumed, theorized by art historians and artists.
