Entirely shaped by refugees in Burkina-Faso, these calabashes were harvested, dried and transformed into real objects of curiosity. Goat leather is used to dress the roundness of the calabashes, reinforcing their structure and standardizing them with a glossy finish and patina obtained using the ebony knife smoothing. Nylon was subtly wrapped in a technique inspired by spiral weaving worked by women Touareg. These calabashes are reborn from their original container functionality and are suddenly elevated to the rank of object by the ring that accompanies them.
