With her heart in Europe and her head on the road, Sarah Poniatowski has been immersed in the world of design since childhood.
“Decoration, the art of living... I fell into it when I was little, or almost: my mother was a decorator and I very quickly had the chance to practice my eye alongside her.”
Curious about everything, she first studied psychology and communications in New York and quickly learned about interior design alongside decorator François Schmidt. She opened her interior design studio in 2002 and launched her first furniture and decor collections in 2012.
Self-taught and uninhibited, she plays with the rules and creates by instinct.

The House also favors eco-friendly packaging such as organic cotton or kraft paper and strives to consume better on a daily basis. In order to extend this commitment, the House supports causes such as No More Plastic which fights against plastic pollution of the oceans.
The Maison Sarah Lavoine interior design studio was founded in 2002 by Sarah Poniatowski with the desire to create timeless and vibrant spaces.
