Four manufacturing steps demonstrate unique expertise. First, the hand-knotting of wool sourced in New Zealand. The yarn is threaded, knotted, and then cut to the desired length. A horizontal weft secures the knots at the end of each row—each row is combed as it is completed. Finally, the rug is cut from the loom, shaved, washed, and then dried.
