Which cut for which silhouette
Raspail jeans, high waisted and straight cut, remain the most versatile: they can be worn with boots in winter or with sneakers on sunny days. The John jeans, slightly flared, lengthen the leg and go black for the season. Marlow jeans, with their timeless straight line, are suitable for those looking for an easy-to-wear model.

Raw canvas or stretch canvas: what to choose?
A 100% cotton canvas relaxes slightly with use then returns to its shape when washed. It adapts to the silhouette over time and ages as it develops a patina. Conversely, a fabric with a little elastane offers immediate comfort, which makes it pleasant for long days, but it does not hold up as well over the years. The choice depends above all on the use you make of it.
The weight of the canvas also matters. Heavy denim holds the fit better and is perfect for winter, when lightweight denim wrinkles more. When trying on, jeans should close without excessive effort at the waist: those that seem perfect when first put on will often be too wide after one day.
Make your jeans last
Jeans are washed much less often than you might think. Every five to ten doors is enough, upside down, at 30 degrees, with a mild detergent and without fabric softener. This is how the color remains true and the original washes are preserved. Drying is done in the open air, never in a tumble dryer, which shrinks the canvas and tires the fibers.
