The color black, revealing contrast

Noir, or the art of controlled intensity

At Maison Sarah Lavoine, the color black is not limited to its radicality: it plays on contrasts, tinted with blue, green, red, always with precision. The Radis Noir shade is the perfect example. Less clear-cut than pure black, it reveals subtle highlights that make it incredibly easy to combine. It is a black companion, which structures the space without ever crushing it. The Chinese Tea shade flirts with forest green. Dense, felted, almost vegetal, it goes wonderfully with noble materials like marble or velvet. And then there is the Broadway shade, our starry night: a deep blue, almost black, crossed with a breath of purple. A black who lives at night, who likes cozy atmospheres, bold contrasts, subdued lighting.

Black objects that tell a story

Black is a shade which structures, which frames, which highlights. In our decorative objects, it does all of this at once. The Riviera vase, with its black ceramic silhouette, gives relief to a console or coffee table. The Slave candle holder, all in originality, plays discreet but captures the light like no other. The Sicilia mug, one of our essentials, takes on a whole new dimension in its black version, both graphic and warm. Even at the table, black has its place: the Saber cutlery collection, black and ivory, creates an elegant table without ever being rigid. Black, for us, has style, but it remains accessible.

Black in the locker room: effortlessly chic

On the side of the designer women's fashion, black is expressed without cliché. It becomes fluid, soft, comfortable. The Varenne silk shirt in black glides against the skin and goes with everything - day, evening, weekend. Flare John jeans, with their vintage cut and deep color, structure the silhouette without constraining it. As for the Pigalle knitted dress, it subtly fits the shapes, for a natural but assertive look. For us, black is for everyone: it can be lived, it can be worn, it can be reinvented. Black, material for colorists

Since its creation, Maison Sarah Lavoine has defended a unique approach to color. Each shade is the result of sensitive work, thought of as a living material. In collaboration with Ressource Peintures, the Maison has developed an exclusive palette of 52 colors, including several variations of black and dark tones. Here, black does not freeze: it nuances, it reveals. He dialogues with materials, with light, with space. It gives rhythm, creates contrasts, enhances other shades. It is this ability to make black expressive, almost tactile, which fully embodies the colorist know-how of the House.
