The Maison Sarah Lavoine inaugurates its first project in Japan with the opening of the Elle Café entrusted to us by the Lagardère group. A cafe and restaurant in Tokyo's lively Shibuya district.
Two levels, two universes, two decorative responses with common points of French know-how and respect for Japanese codes. The challenge was to find harmony between the different spaces and different cultures.
On the ground floor, the colors are soft and light. Large structural posts are clad in white earthenware with planted planters at the top.
Noble, soft, luminous materials such as white marble, brass or polished concrete combine with a few touches of color including the essential Sarah Blue.

Upstairs, the restaurant with a more elegant and intimate decoration opens onto a wine cellar reworked like a precious chest separating the staircase from the room.
A large black marble bar with a set of glassware and brass tubes sits like a work of art on a walnut parquet floor. An ornamental nod through cane work on panels, filtering the light and conveying a very soothing atmosphere.
A very successful project, an organic and now iconic café, combining the style of the House and the codes of Japanese culture.
