Achieving the elegant union of old and new by connecting two apartments to each other. This was the desire of this art-loving couple. The original apartment is very classic, with herringbone parquet floors, elaborate cornices and splendid moldings. A Haussmannian par excellence. The second, upstairs, is less traditional.

The upper part, modern in its approach to materials and colors, houses a magnificent master bedroom. On the floor, a deep and warm chocolate-tinted oak wood sets the mood. A walnut bookcase is dressed with cupboards and serves as a headboard. Its niche painted in soft tones brings a contrast and a play of colors to the graphic aesthetic.

The very refined dressing room with chrome-plated brass and mirror doors brings shine and reflections, and leads us into the bathroom in white Carrara marble and dark wood.
A desire to enhance the smallest detail, to highlight the excellence of French craftsmanship, gives life to a dressing table with triptych mirrors, covered with natural fibers treated on the surface with coatings that are rarely used and rarely seen.

A lava rock fireplace adds extra warmth to this very elegant room.
Still upstairs, a gym, with a layout of mirrors, was designed with technical coverings and perfect acoustics so as not to disturb the floor below. A nod to the dance classes of the mistress of the house.

A second spacious and comfortable bedroom with rather masculine touches leads us to a beautiful solid oak staircase which opens onto a small television lounge, antechamber and transitional room between the two apartments.
We enter a very large living room where many pieces of furniture found in antique shops fill the space with chic. The walls host contemporary works of art collected over time. Accessories, lighting or unique works end up perfecting this place with neutral and soft tones. The slightly grayed bog oak comes into play on certain elements of the layout.

An adjoining dining room is covered with wood paneling, cornices with rounded corners or hidden cupboards, here too, works of art find their place on the walls.
The chocolate-stained oak kitchen with Corian worktop was designed by Boffi.

The strength of this project is to have been able to combine the two spaces with great elegance by choosing very high-end materials, pushing refinement to the extreme. The very strong impulse of art takes us through the years of a life rich in many travels and reveals the personality of this very inspiring couple.
