Fall things. The Essence collection, a must-have at Maison Sarah Lavoine, combines retro spirit with noble materials. It now welcomes a new piece of furniture: the characterful chest of drawers. Its special feature? A walnut veneer that covers the piece and accentuates its vintage look.

Featuring three drawers and a pedestal, the Essence chest of drawers offers practical and compact storage space – perfect for smaller interiors.

The chest of drawers is made of rattan pith, hand-woven in the workshop.

The Artisans of Beauty - Lacquered Wood

Lacquered wood is the result of extremely precise craftsmanship. Used for centuries, vegetable lacquer comes from the lacquer tree, whose resin is transformed, mixed with natural pigments and earth, before being patiently applied to a wooden surface.

Obtained by the successive application of several layers of pigments and varnish, each object is then sanded, polished and dried several times, to obtain a glossy or matte finish.
The glossy lacquer reflects light, brings depth and brilliance, and creates a mirror effect that underlines the refinement of the room.
Matte lacquer, which is visually softer, diffuses light subtly and highlights the purity of lines and volumes.

A work shaped by time, patience, and the hand of the craftsman.
