With its three drawers and its woven rattan door, this vintage-looking chest of drawers combines the useful with the pleasant. We love playing with this piece of furniture in a bedroom, an office or a hallway converted into a library.

Thought out down to the smallest detail, the Essence chest of drawers features velvet-covered drawers. A discreet detail that makes a difference in use. The buttons have a finish that is sometimes rosewood, sometimes black, while the steel legs have a black lacquered finish.

The Artisans of Beauty - Lacquered Wood

Lacquered wood is the result of extremely precise craftsmanship. Used for centuries, vegetable lacquer comes from the lacquer tree, whose resin is transformed, mixed with natural pigments and earth, before being patiently applied to a wooden surface.

Obtained by the successive application of several layers of pigments and varnish, each object is then sanded, polished and dried several times, to obtain a glossy or matte finish.
The glossy lacquer reflects light, brings depth and brilliance, and creates a mirror effect that underlines the refinement of the room.
Matte lacquer, which is visually softer, diffuses light subtly and highlights the purity of lines and volumes.

A work shaped by time, patience, and the hand of the craftsman.

Interior Landscapes

With its new collection, Maison Sarah Lavoine blurs boundaries and invites nature to cross the threshold. Extending the landscape, it transforms the interior space, making each object a fragment of the outside world.
