Made using the hand-tufting technique, an innovative process perpetuated by the PINTON Manufacture, this rug marries tradition and modernity. Using local wool, each piece offers remarkable quality and infinite precision.
The tufting technique combines ancestral know-how with modern tools. On a vertically stretched canvas, the artisan precisely transfers the design of the future rug. The threads are inserted strand by strand, manually using a tufting gun on the reverse side of the canvas, following the colors, pattern, and pile heights. This manual intervention allows for changes in thread and material in accordance with the reference design. The carving process then sculpts the wool, creating relief on the tufted surface.
