About

Sit down to eat. It was while contemplating the sunsets and warm colors of Sicily that Sarah Poniatowski launched the Sicilia collection, inspired by her trip. Particularly for the table, an art in its own right at Maison Sarah Lavoine, for whom conviviality is at the heart of everything. Thus was born this generously sized dish, as aesthetic as it is functional on a daily basis.

Fresh summer salads? Crispy potatoes straight from the oven? Creamy lentil dahls? Delicious recipes that are amply showcased in the Sicilia dish, proof, if proof were needed, that the Maison Sarah Lavoine table is generous.

A loyal partner of Maison Sarah Lavoine, the JARS ceramics workshop has worked the Sicilia dish by hand. Its clay, sometimes left raw, sometimes glazed, reflects the know-how of this Living Heritage Company.

The Artisans of Beauty - Ceramics

Ceramics is a material composed primarily of clays and natural minerals. Used for millennia, it is distinguished by its durability, versatility, and the creative freedom it offers. Depending on its composition and firing process, it comes in several categories: earthenware, porous and delicately glazed; stoneware, dense and resistant; and porcelain, fine and translucent.

Ceramics reveal a thousand nuances under the fingers.
Its nuances are not flaws, but evidence of a handcrafted process where each imprint tells the story of an artisan's hand.
Each piece tells a story of the time, fire, and patience required for its creation.
A living material, between mineral strength and tactile softness.
