Pour éviter que les taches s'incrustent, il est très important nettoyer le plateau aussitôt en cas de salissures. Prenez l'habitude de le laver au quotidien, pour protéger son éclat naturel et assurer sa longévité.

Quel que soit le type de marbre (marbre blanc, noir, veiné, brèche... ), utilisez en priorité un chiffon doux, une éponge, en les humidifiant légèrement. Pour ne pas égratigner le marbre, faites des mouvements circulaires doux.

Côté produits, voici ceux naturels préconisés :
- le savon de Marseille : parfait pour faire briller la pierre au quotidien.
- le savon noir 
- le produit vaisselle
- le blanc de Meudon ou du blanc d’Espagne (pour marbre blanc uniquement) 
- la terre de Sommières, pour les taches de graisse : on en saupoudre un peu sur un chiffon et on frotte doucement la tache.
